…and a vest…

…and a vest…

Well, we’ve moved on from Buffalo to Minneapolis. The first thing I noticed was that it is colder here. I had to throw on my thermal vest for a little extra warmth. It was also rainy and overcast when I arrived and looks like it will remain that way for a couple days.

Emma and I were on separate flights since I have to travel myself and found a cheaper flight earlier in the day. I got to Minneapolis at 8am. Emma didn’t arrive until after 3pm.

Fortunately for me, I had lounge access, so I hung out at the Minneapolis airport lounge until I recieved a notification from Marriott that our room was ready. It was nice that they let me check in before the normal check in time.

Unfortunately for Emma, the lounge access is in my name, so she wasn’t able to enjoy that benefit. Also, she had to take both of our suitcases since the company pays for her bags! I know it wasn’t easy lugging all of that luggage around by herself, so I made sure to give her a big hug and say “thank you” when she arrived at the hotel around 4pm! 🙂

As I was researching Minneapolis and things to do here, I found out that it is often ranked as the #1 cycling city in the US. It’s too bad I sent my bike to Florida already, but with how wet and cold it’s supposed to be, I’m not sure how much I would have ridden it anyways. It looks like they have a fairly robust shared bike system: Nice Ride. I look forward to taking full advantage of that in the next two weeks.

first ride out along the mississippi river. it was a nice ride…

We’ll keep you posted,

Bryan
